DUBAI, Emirates Islamic bank donated AED500 thousand to the “Al Mualafah Gloubahom”, New Muslims, project of Dar Al Ber society as part of the bank’s activities under the umbrella of “Year of Zayed” initiative.
The amount, donated for the third consecutive year, will be used for supporting the people who ambassadors Islam recently and are registered with the society, across the country to help them lead a decent life.
The bank donated to the society AED500 thousand in 2016 and AED300 thousand in 2017 for the same purpose.
Awatif Al Harmoodi, General Executive Director of EI, and Ameenah Al Zarowni, Deputy Head of the Corporate Communications Department of EI, handed the cheque to Afrah Al Kathiri, Deputy Head of the society’s Islamic Information Centre while visiting the centre premises at Al Dhyafah area in Dubai on last Thursday.
Hisham Al Hashimi, Deputy Executive Director of the society, thanked the bank on behalf of the society for the support provided to those who converted to Islam recently. He said that the money will be used to provide them will all their needs and help them follow the moderate teachings of Islam and feel tolerance to others and in fighting deviant ideas and terrorism in line with directives of wise leadership.
Rashid Al Jinaibi, Director of the Islamic Information Centre, acquainted the visiting delegation with the centre’s annual activities and programmes.
The delegation also provided financial support to some of the new Muslim women at the centre who expressed their happiness and thankfulness.               pasting
