Dubai, UAE – Dar Al Ber Society, Ras Al Khaimah branch, is to mark the ‘Year of Zayed’ with six charity initiatives for the benefit of 100 patients, 100 families, and so many defaulter inmates.

The move, in pursuance of the prudent leadership’s vision and directives and in line with the society active participation in all national occasions, will help promote the values of the late founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Ali Al Shehi, Manager, Dar Al Ber RAK branch, said the six charity and community initiatives have been thoroughly and extensively studied to perfectly meet the needs of the local community and promote the values of Zayed Al Khair.

“Relief aids shall be provided for vulnerable people in collaboration with public and private entities under the ‘My Partner’ project, while free medicines shall be given to indigent poor patients under the ‘Pharmacy of Giving’ scheme.”

The Dar Al Ber Society office in Khuzam area, RAK, shall receive and collect charity medicines from interested pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies, he added.

“A number of pharmacists shall be available to receive and disburse the medicines to eligible patients as per approved medical standards and conditions.”

The medicine and treatment requirements of eligible patients shall be secured under the ‘100 Patients’ project, while the ‘Inmates’ programme will help release a number of prisoners in collaboration with the RAK police, he elaborated.

“The ‘Pleasing Zayed Society’ is to bring happiness to 100 Emirati and expatriate families in the country by providing them with their basic needs, while the ‘Zayed Umrah’ will cover the expenses of this religious trip for a number of indigent people.”

Dar Al Ber spares no effort to carry out as many charity initiatives as possible during the ‘Year of Zayed’, Al Shehi underlined. “This national drive is an added value,” he said, noting that more humanitarian drives are to be unveiled later.
