Ras Al Khaimah, UAE – Dar Al Ber Society (DABS), Ras Al Khaimah Branch, has honoured 49 of its Quran memorisers in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah under the sponsorship and in the presence of H.E. Sheikh Eng. Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation, RAK.

The honorees, listed with Dar Al Ber, were graduates of the 5th course of the ‘Al Ber Quran Memorisation’ project, according to Khalfan Khalifa Al Mazrouie, Chairman of Dar Al Ber Society.

H.E. Sheikh Salem paid tributes to the pioneering program and tireless effort of Dar Al Ber Society to encourage and support Quran memorisation, and promote the authentic and merciful teachings of Islam nationwide.

The function, themed: ‘Al Khair Seeds’, saw the presence of Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber, a big number of senior officials, dignitaries, staffers, and the public

Dar Al Ber has given accolades to H.E. Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi in recognition for his relentless support to the Ras Al Khaimah branch of Dar Al Ber Society.

The program saw quantum leaps over the last years that a big number of male and female students have become competent Quran memorisers, and obtained numerous prizes locally and abroad, Al Mazrouie said.

“The project, having run a variety of courses and workshops, taught so many Quran memorisers, and trained lots of teachers, has seized an advanced position in the UAE and worldwide.”

Ali Al Shehi, Manager of RAK Branch, said the ‘Al Khair Seeds’ have been planted and grown up by the Sheikhs and founding forefathers, followed by their dedicated sons.

“The UAE is now on the top of the entire world in terms of foreign aids,” he said. “Dar Al Ber, following the same shiny track, has expended some Dh10 million on charity projects in 2017.”

Khalid Aziz Al Tamimi, Media Adviser of Dar Al Ber and Coordinator of the ceremony, said the UAE has become a leading hub of tolerance, coexistence and happiness for the entire world.

“The new elite group of Quran memorisers represents a part of a big story of success in every nook and corner of the country in view of the exemplary vision and directives of the prudent leadership.”

Meanwhile, the ceremony featured a recitation of some verses from the holy Quran, followed by a documentary movie on the achievements of Dar Al Ber in Ras Al Khaimah over the last years.

H.E. Sheikh Salem then honoured the top Quran memorisers, five new Muslim converts, five staff mentors and teachers, 10 sponsors, including the Emirates Transport the Platinum Sponsor, and the organising team of the ‘Al Khair Seeds’ ceremony.
