Dubai, UAE – Dar Al Ber Society, committed to vulnerable segments of the society, has run a special function to entertain its orphans in the northern emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

The event, organised in collaboration with the ‘Takatof’ voluntary programme, was meant to involve the orphans in a variety of community, national and charity activities that help bolster their kills and form their personalities.

Ali Abdullah Al Shehi, Dar Al Ber Manager in Ras Al Khaimah, said the function, themed: ‘Happier together’, was held under the supervision of the Emirates Foundation to mark the new academic year.

“Up to 20 orphans with listed Dar Al Ber took part in the event during which they were well received in a special way that put a smile on their faces, added to their knowledge, and invited their creativity and innovation.”

Free drawing workshops, sweets and fruits decoration sessions, cultural contests, and group games were also organised, he added. “Healthy meals were also served to the orphans.”

Stationery coupons were later contributed to the participant orphans to make them happier, Al Shehi elaborated. “The young kids were kindly contained and warmly entertained by the Takatof team as well.”
