Dh1.5m for water wells, Dh1.5m for ACs, fridges, coolers

Dubai, UAE – Dar Al Ber Society, in a bid to beat the scorching summer temperature, has initiated a new humanitarian campaign, worth Dh3 million, for the benefit of vulnerable people.

The promising drive, themed ‘Water drop saves life’, is meant to ease the suffering of indigent people during the hot weather all over the country and worldwide, according to a top official.

Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber, said the new scheme includes two main charity projects.

“The first is for digging water wells at deprived areas whereas the second is for providing air conditioners, fridges, and coolers for indigent people.”

Dar Al Ber is to dig a number of different type and depth water wells against Dh1.5 million under the first project, he added.

“Air conditioners, fridges and coolers, also worth Dh1.5 million, are to be contributed for indigent people under the second scheme.”

The 37-year-old leading charity association, based in Dubai, is to extensively promote the 15-day campaign, Al Falasi said. “The promotion campaign is aimed to urge more philanthropists to chip in.”
