Dubai, UAE: Six female students of Dar Al Ber Society, including full Quran memorisers, have shined at the 20th edition of the Sharjah Holy Quran and Sunnah Award.
As many as 14 Quran memorisers of Dar Al Ber have initially been nominated for the annual function organised by the Holy Quran and Sunnah Foundation in Sharjah, according to Asma Al Rais, head of women affairs sector at Dar Al Ber.
“Six of these, including three Emiratis and three expatriates of different nationalities, have made it and seized advanced positions in the popular competition.”
These managed to rank second and ninth in the full-Quran category, as well as the fourth in the 20-part section, second and fourth in the 10-part branch, and first in the 5-part division, she added.
“Mariam Yusuf, of Al Mamzar Quran Study Center, won the second place in the full Quran category, and Khadija Abdullah, of the same centre, ranked ninth in the same category, while Lina Hatem, of the same Center, ranked fourth in the 20-part section.”
“Manal Adnan, of Nad Al Hamar Quran Study Centre, seized the second position in the 10-part branch, whereas Aisha Khalid, of the same centre, ranked fourth in the very branch, and Amina Yusuf, of the same center, came first in the five-part category.”
Al Rais said the students were so keen to make a big success and remarkably represent their centres. “The advanced positions they managed to seize reflect their exceptional performance in terms of tight memorisation and beautiful recitation.”
