Yesterday, Monday 12th June, the Dar Al Ber Society launched the sacrifice campaign, which coincides annually with the advent of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, to a total value of the charitable project estimated this year, inside and outside the UAE, at 4,743,000 million dirhams. Dr. Muhammad Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of Dar Al Ber Society, confirmed that the total number of beneficiaries targeted by the sacrifice project this year amounts to 159,250,000 beneficiaries.

Dr. Muhammad Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of Dar Al Ber Society, confirmed that the sacrifice campaign is one of the most important charitable projects and vital humanitarian initiatives that the Society launches annually, and implements it with great emphasis during the Al-Adha season, which began with the establishment of the Society 43 years ago. Adding that the number of countries benefiting from the new version of the sacrifice project reached 15 countries, namely India, Uganda, Gambia, Somalia, Benin, Burkina Faso, Togo, Mali, Ghana, Niger, Egypt, Senegal, Malawi and Nigeria, in addition to implementing the project within the UAE to support low-income people.


Participation categories

Dr. Al-Muhairi explained that the categories of the sacrifice project, which can be participated in by those sacrificing this year, include slaughter and distribution outside the country, at a cost of 350 dirhams, slaughter outside the country and distribution within it, at a cost of 370 dirhams, and slaughter and distribution within the country, at a cost of 790 dirhams.

He pointed to the possibility of increasing the total number of sacrifices targeted by the humanitarian charitable project, which depends on the volume of donations from benefactors and donors in favor of the project, stressing the importance of this project and its religious and human value, represented in alleviating the suffering of the poor and needy, by meeting their urgent needs for meat. Especially in light of the spread of economic crises, and the rise in global prices, with regards to food, during the past periods.

For his part, Youssef Abdullah Al-Yateem, Assistant CEO of the Zakat and Community Development Sector, said that the Society is implementing the project in coordination with the UAE embassies in the included countries, and in cooperation with 19 partners in those countries, including associations, humanitarian institutions and accredited charitable organizations.

Youssef Al-Yateem stated that the donation channels for the charitable and humanitarian project include the 'Dubai Now' application, the website and smart applications of the Dar Al Ber Society, the representatives in the shopping centers and the customer service centers affiliated to Dar Al Ber, which are in the emirates of Dubai, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, or by calling the toll-free number 80079.
