The Dar Al Ber Society announced the provision of 15,634 sacrifices in the UAE and 17 countries around the world, benefiting about 325,000 needy and deserving people, during the blessed Eid Al-Adha, at a total cost of more than 5,457,768 dirhams.

The Society indicated that the number of sacrifices offered inside the Emirates amounted to 3,760 sacrifices, from which 6,380 families benefited, distributed among the various emirates of the country, the meat of which was distributed to the beneficiaries in accordance with Sharia regulations and standards.

The number of sacrifices offered by Dar Al Ber outside the UAE, in 17 countries, reached 11,874, of which 296,850 beneficiaries benefited, in cooperation with 22 associations of the Society's partners in those countries.

Continuing goodness

Dr. Muhammad Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of the Dar Al Ber Society, stressed that the sacrifice campaign is one of the most important charitable projects and vital humanitarian initiatives that the Society launches annually and implements with great interest during the Eid Al Adha period, which began with the Society’s inception 43 years ago and has continued for more than three decades without interruption.

Dr. Al Muhairi said that the aim of the seasonal sacrifice project is to implement and activate the Islamic ritual, as ordered by the Creator, the Blessed and Exalted. The results of this year’s sacrifice campaign were to provide joy and happiness in the hearts of the poor, deserving and needy families in the Emirates and the countries covered by the campaign, by distributing sacrificial meat to them, and giving them the feeling of the value of the participation of their brothers, the donors in the Emirates, in this great ritual.

Al-Muhairi said: Providing the sacrificial service annually, and delivering it to the deserving, the poor, needy families, the needy, widows, orphans, the needy in general and others, inside and outside the country, is the focus of the attention and care of Dar Al Ber given the great importance of this Islamic ritual, its exceptional value, and its positive outcomes and sociability that affects large segments of society around the world, and its tangible role in promoting social cohesion and human solidarity and consolidating national cohesion.

Controls and Standards

Yousef Al-Yateem, Assistant Chief Executive Officer of the Projects Sector at Dar Al Ber, explained that the Society implements sacrifice services, during the blessed Eid Al-Adha, in light of the correct Shariah controls and standards, and in accordance with the highest levels of discipline, transparency, governance concepts, financial audit conditions and administrative control, pointing out that the sacrifice this year it was goats and lambs specifically.

Dar Al Ber extended its deep thanks and appreciation to those who sacrificed and the donors, in return for their sacrifices and generous donations, which effectively contributed to the success of the sacrifice campaign, during the last Eid al-Adha season, implementing its specific goals before its launch, and achieving a good harvest of numbers and qualitative achievements .
