Dar Al Ber Society announced that the number of charitable and humanitarian projects launched by the Society in Sudan during the period from 2015 to last September 2021 amounted to 9,421 development projects, a large part of which has been completed and work is underway to implement the other part, at a total cost of 67 million and 936 thousand 627 dirhams.

Abdul Qadir Al Rais, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dar Al Ber Society, said that the society’s projects in Sudan over the past years were distributed among several main areas of charitable work such as: charity, helping the poor and the needy and promoting the development process there, namely building mosques, water saving projects, supporting productive families, charitable endowment projects, as well as various charitable projects.

Abdul Qadir Al Rais stressed that Dar Al Ber's strategy in implementing charitable and humanitarian projects in Sudan and other needy countries focuses on establishing sustainable development projects and initiatives that have a large and wide reaching impact on their societies and countries, with the aim of enhancing positive returns and long-term effects of humanitarian work.

Also in regards to charitable projects, striving to include the largest possible number of the needy and the poor, implementing the UAE’s vision into sustainable development work in poor communities and conveying the country's humanitarian and civilized message to the countries of the world. and its peoples.

Al-Rais pointed to the great efforts made by the Society's staff and specialized teams, and their tireless work, whether from its offices inside the UAE, or during field work trips, to supervise the implementation of the Society's charitable, humanitarian and development projects and following up the progress of work and to monitor and audit it to ensure it conforms to the conditions and standards and to assess the needs of people, their concerns and the requirements of their regions, in many countries of the world, across its five continents, especially Africa and Asia.

In detail, Hisham Ali Al Hashemi, a member of the Board of Directors and
Deputy CEO of the Dar Al Ber Society, said that the lists of Dar Al Ber projects in the mentioned period in Sudan included the construction of 459 mosques across Sudan at a total cost of 39 million and 122 thousand and 941 dirhams. Also the establishment of 5,709 water projects, to be provided for drinking, irrigation and other civil uses, at a cost of 13,240,632 dirhams.

Hisham Al-Hashemi added that the projects of Dar Al Ber in Sudan also included supporting Sudanese productive families, with two million, 41 and 312 dirhams and financing and supporting charitable endowment projects with a total value of 9 million, 546 thousand and 719 dirhams, from donations and support of donors from the people of the Emirates. The Society spent in other charitable projects, a value of 3 million and 985 thousand and 23 dirhams.

Al Hashemi pointed out that the successful projects of the Society in Sudan, were due to Allah firstly and then the donations and giving of donors and generous people in the Emirates, citizens and residents. He expressed great appreciation to the donors and contributors to support the Society's development projects and humanitarian initiatives around the world.
