Dubai:
The Islamic Information Center in Dubai, which is affiliated with Dar Alber Society, crowned 90 winners in the first centers, including 18 children, in the fourth session of the Holy Quran and Prophet’s Sunnah competition, which is dedicated to the category of (new converts), which is the first competition of its kind at the state level, that is concerned with this group. It aims to link them to the Qur’an and Sunnah, educate and sensitize them to the true religion, inculcate a moderation and mild approach, and promote the values of tolerance among them.
Rashid Al Junaibi, Director of the Islamic Information Center at "Dar Alber" said: The last version of the competition, which was recently concluded, recorded remarkable success, in light of the widespread demand for participation, interaction and competition that the competition enjoyed this year, noting that the total number of the registered participants in the competition reached 900, from 23 countries, including 31 children, and the number of finalists reached 344. The competition includes 6 levels. However, “Islamic Information” honored the winners during the closing ceremony, which was hosted by the “Events Hall” in the Saudi German Hospital in Dubai, in the presence of the director of the center and Faraj Al-Kathiri the deputy director of the center, Sheikh Khalid Ismail, the preacher in the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Work in Dubai, and Ahmed Faisal Al-Janahi, Head of Licensing Department and follow-up Islamic institutions in the department, and representatives of a number of sponsors and supporters of the religious educational event.
